Red Runner Roaches are also known as the Turkestan Roach and are from Central Asia & the Middle East. Red Runners are very nutritious as they have a high meat to shell ratio containing 37% protein and 6% fat making them very similar to a cricket nutritionally. They are known to be exceptionally high in vitamin B12 Adult males can 'fly' and so they must be housed in a screen-top container. They grow quickly if kept between 85 and 90°, but can be kept at current size for quite awhile at 70°. These roaches breed quickly with each female producing 100 babies monthly.
